I cannot express my gratitude enough for Serenity. My wife and I have a child that has been battling addiction for years, she’s gone to three different centers in two years without success. We’ve sent her across the globe, spent 60k for 30 day inpatient treatment, but she left after a week. Six months ago I attended a non profit event that assists homeless youth, as well as opioid awareness started by Mark Lindquist, Pierce Country Proseccuting Attorney. I brought my daughter along to help hand out Toiletries and serve lunch. At the event, she met a woman, who turned out to be an addiction therapist, she spent an hour with my daughter, took her lunch and convinced her to give Serenity a try. My daughter started her counseling the following day with Christine, she came home after her first session and shared with my wife and I that it was the first time she felt understood and was met on her level with compassion and understanding. She’s been sober for six months now after not making the 30 day mark in nine years. We are forever grateful to Serenity, Christine, and all of the professionals in this industry that commit there lives to helping those who suffer, for no reason other than pure love and compassion.

I don’t often review places. Usually I just don’t think about it. But when I do it’s because the place affected me greatly, either negatively or positively. With that being said, serenity counseling goes way beyond just helping people. Joseph, Karen, Kevin and the entire staff have had a profound effect on those they help, including myself. They teach so much more than just “don’t drink/do drugs” like many other treatments centers. And it can be fun, in meetings people are encouraged to speak their minds and the truth without fear of official repercussions . They have extremely flexible schedules, to help with those who have busy jobs. They have resources to help you fulfill obligations like AA meetings, And to do them in constructive ways so it’s not just a waste of time. This is a place where they genuinely care about you, and I cannot stress that enough. I’m writing this review after a year since I successfully completed treatment. And it continues to work. This is by far, the best option for anyone dealing with addiction, courts, or personal reasons.

Everyone is super nice here, especially Joseph. They aren't preachy in the slightest. He said some stuff that really resonated with me. If you're in need of help with your addiction you should definitely come here.
